Daily Summary: Departed Corrales New Mexico after
being hosted by three of the most wonderful women on the planet: Heather,
Autumn, and Anne. Thanks ladies, you're the best! After being
sure I had my "Wil-Straps" (tow straps), and Wil had enough gasoline (after
running out),and jumping Wil's bike, and my front brake was no longer locking up
(ok, so it took us awhile to get rolling that morning), we were on the road
pointed toward Sierra Vista Arizona. Special thanks to the BMW dealers who
heeded our call for help (TAG Sport in West
Chicago, IL) and
Sandia BMW in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. Both outfits are class acts.
Arriving in Sierra Vista, and having the technology to direct us
straight to Phillip's house, I proceeded to eye the Zumo 550 GPS and drive right
past Phillip in the driveway, waving us over. Needless to say, Phillip was
not impressed by the technology. That slight error would haunt me the rest
of the trip, as I waited for Phillip to use that when he saw I was at my weakest
(which was most of the time).
